Foster & Train
To give back to the community, we are accepting one dog at a time into our Foster & Train program. This lucky pup will get to join in with the training dogs and get the full Board & Train experience. Once we feel like he/she is ready to go to a forever home, we will post an application and host interviews to find the best fit.
Update: Adopted!
Sweet Ziggy went to his forever home in Tennessee this January! He has a loving and dedicated mahm and a biiig backyard. Until next time Zigs. We will miss you!
Meet Ziggy
Drumroll…This handsome man is the latest Red Beard foster! Zigs has done lessons with us since he was 6 months old and has held a soft spot in our hearts since the first time we met. He is a suuuUuuuper sweet and snuggly one year old light brindle bully mix that was a breeze to train. He isn’t pushy or leash reactive, is already fantastic in the crate and e-collar conditioned. He has also acclimated into the personal Red Beard pack with ease. More on that in a bit.

About the Zigsters:
We are big on transparency and want the future owners to know exactly what they are getting into so here is a bit about Zigs past.
Zig was adopted into a home with an older small dog. The older dog didn’t take very kindly to Ziggy. This is a theme we see among clients who get a higher energy puppy with a senior dog. It’s not fair to the puppy or the older dog and it can end with with a lot of disharmony in the home. Because of this Zigs was fearful and insecure other dogs in that environment. Since being at Red Beard he has done great getting rowdy with our personal pack and doesn’t seek out conflict in any way. He has also done well with other balanced dogs in calm socials. What he needs now is advocacy, consistency, and an owner that will invest in making sure Zigs feels like we have his back.
Ziggy is in a pending Board & Train program until we find his forever home. We are muzzle conditioning him to make sure we have a safe and comfortable way to introduce him into a new pack. If interested in Zigs, fill out the adoption form below and feel free to reach out via email with further questions. We will be doing an in person interview for anyone we feel will be a good fit and are committed to finding him the right forever home.
